Three VGC players, including 2024 world champion Luca Ceribelli, say confiscated passes barred them from 2026 Pokémon World Championships

eBay removes early listings of unreleased Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration cards after contact from The Pokémon Company International

Canadian Pokémon collector recovers $4,000 in stolen graded cards via self-organised sting

Collector Emilio Kihien said thieves paid with counterfeit bills and took roughly $4,000 worth of graded Pokémon cards during a sale at his home in Coquitlam. After police said they could do little, Kihien and friends posed as buyers and detained two suspects at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby on August 13; one adult and one juvenile were detained and could face theft charges.

Canadian Pokémon card collector recovers stolen cards after alleged thieves relisted them on Facebook Marketplace

A collector in Coquitlam, British Columbia reported that a buyer paid with counterfeit cash and fled with three Pokémon cards arranged for sale via Facebook Marketplace. At least 25 people in Thailand file complaints over alleged Pokémon card scam totalling over 5 million baht

At least 25 alleged victims in Thailand have filed complaints with Bangkok's Economic Crime Suppression Division over a Pokémon card seller identified as "Mr Mor", with combined reported losses exceeding 5 million baht (about $152,000).
